Your Pre-Surgery Checklist
- Anesthesia Consultation: Have you completed your pre-operative anesthesia interview? If you haven’t, or if you have any questions for our anesthesia team, please reach out to us at (315) 782-1650 and request to speak with the anesthesia interview nurse.
- Medication Updates: Have there been any recent changes to your medications? In case these updates weren't included in your healthcare questionnaire, please inform us by calling (315) 782-1650, and ask to speak with a pre-op surgical nurse who will help you with the necessary adjustments.
- Physical and Hand Therapy Appointments: Have you completed your pre-operative physical or hand therapy session? Also, remember to schedule your post-operative outpatient physical or hand therapy sessions, as recommended by your physician.
- Post-Surgery Transportation: Ensure you have arranged for a reliable and licensed driver to take you home safely after your surgery.
- Fasting Before Surgery: Please remember not to eat or drink anything after midnight on the night before your surgery. This is a crucial step for your safety during the procedure.
